With the Motorflower 5-song EP, the transcendental theme of classic rock formula has been utilized to create a new-age, alternative vibe. The instrumentation follows an emotional trail between progressions, the lyrics solidifying what could be considered a complete package. Yet all the tracks bring an anthem underground, a sense of “this is the last song I get to play.”

Stone Sour released its 3rd album Audio Secrecy back in September. Frankly it took me longer to get into this album than their previous recordings. While the album as a whole isn’t as heavy as in the past, you can tell the band is moving a little further from the Slipknot sound. If you did know it already, Corey Taylor is also the frontman for Slipknot where he is also known as #8. James Root also pulls double-duty in Stone Sour, playing guitar for both bands.
