With the Motorflower 5-song EP, the transcendental theme of classic rock formula has been utilized to create a new-age, alternative vibe. The instrumentation follows an emotional trail between progressions, the lyrics solidifying what could be considered a complete package. Yet all the tracks bring an anthem underground, a sense of “this is the last song I get to play.”

Stone Sour released its 3rd album Audio Secrecy back in September. Frankly it took me longer to get into this album than their previous recordings. While the album as a whole isn’t as heavy as in the past, you can tell the band is moving a little further from the Slipknot sound. If you did know it already, Corey Taylor is also the frontman for Slipknot where he is also known as #8. James Root also pulls double-duty in Stone Sour, playing guitar for both bands.

On their website’s biography page Florence and the Machine’s namesake, vocalist, and songwriter Florence Welch says, “I want my music to sound like throwing yourself out of a tree, or off a tall building, or as if you’re being sucked down into the ocean and you can’t breathe. Scranton, PA’s Tigers Jaw does what all good punk-influenced bands do: display their influences proudly and mold them all together into a unique sound. On their newest record, Two Worlds, Tigers Jaw plays equal parts melodic, melancholy rockers at mid-tempo and fast-paced pop-punk numbers that are both searing and fractured at the same time.

A Day to Remember’s fourth full length album,  What Separates Me From You, has every element an ADTR fan loves. Fans who like the harder ADTR from  And Their Name Was Treason, will be pleased with the hard breakdowns as in track 5 “2nd Sucks” which begins a breakdown with the well known “Fight” from the popular video game Mortal Kombat. Fans that like the more pop-punk version of ADTR, as in their last album Homesick, will enjoy track 3 “It’s Complicated”.

Joey Jordison has stepped out from behind the skins of Slipknot and Rob Zombie to take the front of the stage playing the six string. Joey has reunited with Wednesday 13 again to record a new Murderdolls album. Taken from the pages of Alice Cooper, Rob Zombie, Scum of the Earth, and a little bit of Marilyn Manson, The Murderdolls have come out with their 2nd album Women and Children Last. This horror genre of metal the Murderdolls have come up with a fun obscure record. The band doesn’t take itself too serious and listening to it you will notice that their love for horror movies influence how the songs are written. With Joey recording the drum and guitar tracks, Mötley Crüe guitarist Mick Mars recorded a guest appearance on the new album. Although there has been some changes in the band the current line consists of; Wednesday 13 (Vocals, Keyboards, Guitar), Joey Jordison (Lead & Rhythm Guitar), Roman Surman (Rhythm & Lead Guitar), Jack Tankersley (Bass), Racci Shay (Drums).
